La Rosa Vino: Wine Shop in Quezon City Hosts Its Biggest Wine and Food Hop Yet

Wine & Food Hop 3 turned Maginhawa Street into a vibrant celebration last May 3, 2025, as wine lovers and foodies came together for an afternoon of sipping, strolling, and savoring. Hosted by La Rosa Vino, a cozy and curated wine shop in Quezon City, the third season of this now-anticipated event proved to be the biggest—and most flavorful—yet.

This year’s edition was a clear level-up from the last. What started in 2023 as a charming wine & food crawl evolved into an elevated experience from a wine shop in Quezon City that’s passionate about bringing joy through every pour. Guests kicked things off at La Rosa Vino with a refreshing Ichanka Torrontes from Argentina (2022) paired with local-style pulutan—setting the mood for a day of delicious discoveries.

The hop continued with a bold pour of Cuesta del Madero Malbec (Argentina, 2023) at Daily Habit, perfectly matched with cheeseburger sliders, truffle fries, and chicken wings. Over at Friuli Trattoria, guests savored the smooth Grand Moulin Merlot (France, 2022) alongside an indulgent spread of canapés—think truffle crustinis, tandoori pizzettes, and tuna crustada.

Bubble Dreams offered a playful twist, serving 1818 Sauvignon Blanc (Chile, 2024) with sweet and savory chicken balls plus a flight of handcrafted sodas like Maginhawa Dew and Green Apple Burst. The experience got cozier at The Sanctuary Café & Bar, where the Gufo Merlot (Italy, 2023) was paired with wagyu on sweet potato and fried tofu with pickled cabbage.

At Coffee Nook, guests enjoyed homey bites of chicken-mushroom pie and oatmeal cookies alongside the sweet and easy-drinking Jack Estate Moscato (Australia, 2023). Over at Puesto, the vibe turned festive with Wild House Pinotage (South Africa, 2023) served with flavorful tacos, chimichangas, and a cheeky Rumchata.

Finally, everyone circled back to where it all began—La Rosa Vino—to end the hop with a glass of La Giosa Moscato (Italy) and a few delightful surprises, perfectly closing out the celebration.

From the first sip to the final bite, Wine & Food Hop 3 brought people together in the best way possible. Each stop wasn’t just about great food and wine—it was about shared moments. Laughter filled the air, conversations came easy, and new friendships were made. Guests didn’t just taste Maginhawa—they experienced its heart and soul, all thoughtfully curated by a wine shop in Quezon City that’s passionate about celebrating local flavor and creating truly memorable experiences.

Here’s a Peek Inside the Experience

As Rose, owner of La Rosa Vino, beautifully put it:
“At La Rosa Vino, we’ve always seen wine as warm, welcoming, and part of everyday Filipino joy. Through the Wine & Food Hop, we’re not just pouring wine, we’re sharing celebration, connection, and community. It’s our way of toasting life with the people and resto owners of Maginhawa, while also helping boost local tourism.”
